With the new MICROSPACE® PC/104-Express peripheral card MSMSA104EX, the Swiss-based company DIGITAL-LOGIC, one of the world's leading companies in the embedded computer market and leading co-initiator of the PCI/104 Express bus specification, is now offering a powerful solution for connecting two SATA memory devices to the PCI Express bus. The card is based on the SATA II host controller SiL3132, has two SATA interfaces and supports data transfer rates of up to 300MByte/s for each channel. It is connected to the PCI Express bus via one lane. Two USB ports are available to attach further peripheral devices. Software support exists for Windows XP, Windows VISTA and Linux. The onboard flash contains RAID Ø 1 support. The MSMSA104EX has dimensions of 90mm x 96mm x 17mm (W x L x H) and a weight of 120grams. It requires a 5V/3.3V power supply and operates within the standard temperature range of –25°C to +70°C (1GB). The MTBF (mean time between failures) is specified with over 100,000 hours.
