DIGITAL-LOGIC offers MXM Adapter with ATI E2400 High Performance Graphic

With the new MICROSPACE® PC/104-Express peripheral card MSMMX104EX, the Swiss-based company DIGITAL-LOGIC is now offering a MXM type II adapter for the connection of a graphics module to the PCI/104-Express bus. MXM (Mobile PCI Express Module) is a common graphics standard for PCI Express, which allows for an easy change of the graphics as with desktop systems. The card is connected to the PCI Express bus via a PEG slot (PCI Express for graphics) with 16 lanes. The adapter is equipped with an ATI E2400 MXM graphics module, a high-performance graphics processing unit which delivers exceptional 2D, 3D and multimedia graphics performance, and 256MByte Video memory.

Besides the MXM port there are two further interfaces for DVI-I (digital + analogue), LVDS and TV-out on the peripheral card. Software support exists for Windows XP and Windows VISTA. A flexible heat pipe solution coupled to a thermal interface is available which allows the housing to be used for cooling. The MXM adapter has dimensions of 90mm x 96mm x 17mm (W x L x H) and a weight of 120grams. It requires a 5V and 12/3A power supply and operates within the standard temperature range of –20°C to +70°C. The MTBF (mean time between failures) is specified with over 100,000 hours. Typical applications are high performance graphics, H.264/MPEG4 decoder and direct X10.
