On July 5, 2009, a foundation laying ceremony held in Shenzhen marked the beginning of the construction of EVOC Hi-tech Industrial Park --- Asia’s largest R&D and manufacturing base in IPC field.

It is reported that the EVOC Hi-tech Industrial Park is going to cover a floor area of 80000 square meters, with a building area of 230000 square meters. The whole construction project is predicted to cost US$146 million. All the factory workshops in the project are expected to be finished and put into use within 18 months, and the whole construction project to be completed in two years. By that time, more than 3000 jobs will be created, and more than 600 pieces of equipment introduced for the R&D, production and terminal test for industrial computing products, including both hardware and software. Once the project is completed, EVOC’s production capacity will increase ten-fold from the current 100 million pieces per year! With an annual R&D investment reaching US$44 million, EVOC can ultimately achieve an annual output value above US$732 million.

While many companies tend to cut their investment plans due to the global economic tsunami, people around the world are impressed by EVOC Group, one of the world’s three major IPC market leaders, who is increasing its investment and production output by building a new R&D base.
