Lippert Unveils COM Express Board with Intel Core Duo Processor

The Toucan marks LiPPERT's entry into the COM Express market. It features Intel's latest dual core technology together with a matching chipset.

This very compact board has a fast graphics controller integrated on-board; if needed, it can be replaced with an external controller via a PCIexpress x16 lane. Furthermore, the Toucan offers 4 PCIe x1 lanes to extend the functionality even further.

There is a Gigabit Ethernet controller and 8 USB 2.0 host ports, providing very good extensibilty on a custom designed base board.

The Toucan is optionally available for the extended temperature range of -40° ... +85°C. A suitable heat spreader is part of each delivered board.

The Toucan will be available in quantity from Q2/2006.
