Sabritec Appoints John White as Fiber Optics Product Engineer

Sabritec, a custom connecting devices manufacturer and Smiths Interconnect company, is pleased to welcome John White as their Fiber Optics Product Engineer. In this position, John will concentrate on fiber optic interconnection development and manufacturing as well as maintaining Sabritec’s fiber optic products and technologies.

John has over twenty-five years of optical component evaluation and system design engineering experience with emphasis on high performance Fiber Optic interconnects for severe and harsh environments. Before joining Sabritec, John developed passive and active fiber optic components for Military and commercial vehicles, terrestrial and deep space satellites as well as the International Space Station and Space Shuttle. John has also trained and lead fiber optic production teams that achieved industry leading performance and manufacturing yields. His product research and developments have awarded him multiple patents and technology awards.

John chaired several military and commercial development and standardization committees, has published papers on fiber optic technology integration into aerospace vehicles and given lectures and tutorials ranging from basic fiber optic interconnection technology to sophisticated high reliability interconnects for harsh environments.
